Salming-on-Salming Action at Canary Wharf

Apparently Adrian Grant and Miguel Angel Rodriguez had a real ripper of a match in the first round of the 2014 Canary Wharf (watch on Squash TV – subscription required).

Anyway check out this nice photo by Steve Line of the two Salming players in action:

Adrian’s wearing the new Salming Viper, and Rodriguez is sporting the Salming Race R1 Mid.

Thanks to Kyle and Ben for the tips.

Reviews

I have a pair of the original Race R1s and I love ‘em. Awesome design, very comfortable, and they have held up very well. My only problem with them has been that they are, honestly, the stinkiest pair of squash shoes I have ever owned. I don’t feel like the shoes get particularly hot or anything (they’re very breathable) so I don’t know why that happens. I got some of those sneaker balls to reduce the odor a bit, and that works.

Jeff at Control the T said these were “very comfortable” and “very light”.

2013 HK Open Squash Equipment Report (Men)

England’s Nick Matthew won the 2013 HK Open over Borja Golan of Spain, who was appearing in his first PSA World Series final. Ramy Ashour was back in action, but had to pull out in the quarterfinals due to injury. By virtue of his victory, Nick will regain the world #1 ranking.

Here are the equipment notes from the event. All photos are by Steve Cubbins for SquashSite.
