Here are a few versions of the Mizuno Wave Tornado 8. These are originally designed for volleyball, but I’ve seen a few pros wearing them for squash as well, like Rachael Grinham and Low Wee Wern. I’m surprised I don’t see them more often because they look pretty badass.
Update: Check out the comments for reader reviews. Many people don’t think these are appropriate for squash.

Bought them for a discounted price half 2017, so got them for about 8 months now (playing once a week for 1 hour). And today ordered some Salming’s. Ok, to be fair I do tend to drag my left foot quite a bit, result is that the sole width is 1,5 cm worn out. The right foot is not that much better of either. Sole is worn out as well. Support wise: Absolute excellent, durability: worst I ever had.

I tried these as well and agree with Henry’s comment of 3 August (wish I had seen it first !). They are certainly very comfortable and well made but clearly not squash shoes. They claim they are, as well as volleyball etc.
The front sole grip is excellent but there is almost NO grip on the heel section – I had to change them after two rallies after ending up on the floor in both when going to the front corners when I always land on my heel.

I bought a pair of the red tornado about a month. It’s my first experience with mizuno but sadly, it may be my last. Its just THAT bad as a squash shoe, I simply will NOT recommend this model to any squash player even if it’s my worst enemy on court. I concede that the cushioning is top-notch but definitely too high for squash. I have actually gone back to my well-worn gel-domain and will probably get another pair of asics.

Bummer 🙁 but thanks for the feedback.

Really cool looking. They are beast when it comes to cushioning. A bit expensive and if you play very often i wouldn’t recommend it as it’s not the best when it comes to endurance. Other then that it’s top end shoe

Thanks Zsolt, good to know about the endurance aspect.
