Adidas Squash shoes pretty much break down into three tranches:
- Adidas Adipower Stabil. High end — more cushioning, more expensive.
- Adidas Court Stabil. Mid-range — medium cushioning, mid-price.
- Adidas Essence. Low end — least cushioning, least expensive.
Some people get worked up about the high-mid-low thing, but don’t do that. I have seen pros playing with the “mid-range” shoe. Some people prefer less cushioning — it makes the shoe lighter, you know? Some people only play once a week and just want a decent price. Other people want the most cushioning or just love the style of the high-end shoes. It’s all good.
There’s one other Adidas shoe that’s got a following among pro players, and that’s the Adidas Opticourt Team Light. Ramy and Daryl Selby have used that.
I also like to post other Adidas court shoes that I think look cool, even if pros aren’t currently using them.
