I’ve changed Squash Source’s design. The revamp is half complete. You’ll probably see further changes over the next few days.
I’m hoping the redesign makes it easier to find the latest equipment. In fact I’ve underlined this by changing site’s tagline to “squash equipment finder”.
The largest problem with the current design is that most pages on the site display articles in reverse chronological order of their posting date. Sometimes this means an older piece of equipment will appear more prominently on the site than a popular recent model. For example, the Dunlop Aerogel Evolution F120, which is several years old, appeared on the first page of the squash rackets category simply because I reviewed it recently. At the same time, the Dunlop Biomimetic Evolution 130, a popular and current racket, is buried several pages deep because I reviewed it months ago.
This design change is the most important, and is still in the works.
I’ve also changed the menu to work better on iPhones and tablets, and I’m trying to do a better job of turning first-time visitors into repeat visitors. I’ve made it a bit more enticing to subscribe by email and added a Pinterest option.
Hope you like the changes so far, and the changes to come.
