Here’s a quick equipment update from the 2015 Squash World Championships. Greg Gaultier finally won it, on what I think was his fifth try. I’m happy for Gaultier after he’s had so many close calls.
It was a 64-man draw and I was able to find photos for about 40 players from Steve Cubbins’s Google+ feed.
There are were a few equipment mysteries, but our talented sleuths have solved them!

Hi Matthew
Karakal PU Supergrip is 1,7mm thick.

Hi Ole, thanks for the reply, will try them out!

Just a question, do most of the pros use a replacement grip + an over-grip or do they just hold the replacement grip?
Pierre Bastien says
()
I’m curious about that myself. I think they mostly just use a replacement grip (usually Karakal PU Supergrip) but am not positive.

Hi Pierre, thanks for replying, just to clarify – what is the thickness in millimeters of the Karakal PU Supergrip? I haven’t been able to find this information online anywhere and was wondering since I may purchase them

I’m pretty sure that Miguel A. Rodriguez during match with Julian Illingworth is wearing Salming Race R2 (3.0 model) despite of wearing Race R1 commonly

Thanks for featuring South African goods, after Australia’s. In South Africa we support two teams at International level – South Africa and anyone who plays Australia.
