What’s up, you guys? It’s Pierre and in this video I’m going to do a quick walkthrough of the Dunlop FX 125 Pro Lite. This has been in Dunlop’s lineup for years and years and years. It replaces other versions of the Pro Lite. I don’t think this is by any stretch, the latest one. This is a prior one called the Revelation Pro Lite.
They haven’t made really too many changes with the overall basic concept. This is the same head shape as the usual Pro Lite. A lot of pro players use this particular racket. Ali Farag, world number one, he uses I think it’s just called the Pro. I forget, but it is a little bit heavier. This one’s a little bit lighter as it says in the name.
And actually more Dunlop pros use this than I think any other. At least that was the case in the past. It’s just got a nice balance of having an open, teardrop head shape so there’s a big sweet spot. It’s pretty maneuverable. It’s light. All in, well, it’s 125 gram racket, but all in, we’re talking 156 grams, so it’s a very maneuverable one.
And this is kind of like basically a long standing favorite. It’s been on my list of best squash rackets for years because it’s available pretty much worldwide. It to me is just a good balance of control. With this not a huge head, but it’s got, kind of a medium size head. It’s got control, it’s got the teardrop shape, which gives you a little bit of power.
The strings can, you know, are a bit longer, elongated, through the neck here. And, just an overall well-balanced racket that’s widely available. So this is going to remain on my list of best rackets. Far as downsides, really the only thing I would say is that it can be a little bit it’s like kind of it’s not very stiff.
So if you like a stiffer feel, maybe this isn’t, isn’t the one. It’s a little bit softer. But, you know, honestly, that can give you, a little bit more of a soft feeling on taking balls in short. And around the court. I got this racket through the Squash Galaxy demo program. So I just tried it out briefly hitting on court. I’ve been injured, so I wasn’t able to play with it in tons of matches, in tons of gameplay, but, but I got the general idea, and I know, from playing with this model myself in years past extensively, I can tell it’s pretty much, the same idea.
I think they did a really nice job with the cosmetics this year. All the Dunlop rackets that came out, in the current year, the sort of teardrop ones are this like blue. I wanted to call it electric blue. I don’t know why, but, it’s got, it’s got a nice sort of shine to it on the, on the, on this, on this frame. Blue and black with the black Dunlop, Hydramax grip. I think Hydramax Pro grip and, Dunlop strings.
So again, all around strong performer. Highly recommend this model year after year if you can find any of the older ones, which you can go on Squash Source and from this page you can click back through prior models. There’s not it’s a it’s getting a bit hard to find the older models because they sold out quickly, especially coming out of the pandemic when there weren’t as many available.
So this one is you may only be able to find this one, but overall high quality. Good one. I will have some more reviews coming out soon, so subscribe. I’ll see you later. Bye.

Great review, I have played with this racket and totally agree with the ‘soft’ feeling and large sweet spot.
It definitely helps the short game and touch shots but may provide a little less power.
