Product Description

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Got these for my daughter as she started playing club volleyball at 12... still in GREAT shape 1 year later, although I've got to replace them as her toes are right up to the front of the shoe now... fit was as expected, great cushioning, and she loved the diva blue (and many of her teammates ended up getting the same shoes as they all liked them). Would definitely buy again!

They didn't have a lot of cushion either, but they did have really great traction. Overall, I would only recommend purchasing if looks are your primary focus

Love them so far but only worn once! I have had other asics similar to this style so I was hoping these would accommodate my wide feet and they do! I love how they fit. I would recommend ordering half a size smaller for someone with regular width feet.

A bit bigger than the typical ASICS

I stated that these shoes fit somewhat large, but I have to say that I purposely bought these in a size larger than I normally wear. The reason for this is because every other pair of ASICS shoes I have purchased have fit small! I recently bought another pair of Asics VB shoes in the same size that fit perfectly ASICS Women's Gel Rocket 7 Volley Ball Shoe,White/Silver,7.5 M US . (I usually wear a size 7 but buy ASICS in a size 7.5) I also have another pair of ASICS running shoes that I got in a size 7 that are too short in the toe.
These shoes are nice, but I think my other pair are more comfortable - these feel stiffer and a little wider in the toe box. Hopefully they will get a little more comfortable with more use. On the plus side, I can wear a thicker pair of socks in them.
