I’ve seen a few players on my home courts use this. I think it’s a bit of an older model but a quality racket, so probably a good deal for someone looking for a decent racket but not wanting to splurge for the latest models.

It’s got a frame weight of 130 grams, which is pretty light. The balance point is 370mm so this should be head-heavy.

Update: I just found this old picture of Ramy Ashour. I guess he used to play with this racket:

I have had a Metallix 130 for many years and still hit with it some. I came to prefer the Microgel 135 which I have also had for a number of years (I have two of these). My racket of choice is currently the Cyano XT 120 (the yellow one) — light, reasonable power but still good feel — but the Microgels are a close second. It seems to be impossible to get grommets and guards for the Microgels nowadays in the U.S., Britain, or Canada.

Hi I’m currently between this racket (metallix 130) and the microgel 125. I have used many Head rackets but I believe the new technologies such as corrugated and graphene have made them less stiff, which I don’t like. I returned from my new 135 Cyano graphene to my old 145 Microgel. The feel and power of the 145 Microgel is what I’m looking for but a little more light frame. I do need the racket to help me produce power, both this rackets are head heavy so I’m fine I guess. I’m a little inclined to the Metallix as I’ve seen many good reviews. On the other I suspect the 125 Microgel pretty much the same as the as my 145 but lighter with a heavier head (which I find ok).
