Repairing a Cracket Squash Racket

Included in this reddit post about a cracked racket frame was a comment from m-shafik:

I had a similar crack on my Dunlop Hyperfibre Pro (I hit my opponent’s racket during the follow-through) and my coach used some sort of fiber heat welding (similar to fixing cuts/cracks in fiber car bumpers) and it returned like new. He painted over the welding to make it look original.

Wow! Has anyone ever tried that before? I am curious how well that holds up over time.

    I’ve tried it. It works. Needed a worm dampener though.

      Do you have more information on how to do the repair? I have a racquet with a crack in it similar to the pictures posted here and was curious about the process to fix it.
