The Asics Gel Beyond 6 first came out in 2020, and some new colors were released in 2021. It replaces the Asics Gel Beyond 5, which was used by a few pro players.

Have been playing with Asics gel beyond 5 for a number of years, and found that they were a brilliant squash shoe. When I found out that the model had been discontinued, and a gel Beyond 6 had replaced the gel Beyond 5, I was disappointed to say the least. I decided to buy the Beyond 6, and give it a go. At first sight, they looked bulky, and heavy, but to my surprise, they were fairly light. I take a size 10.5, but had to downsize to a size 10. After playing with them a few times, I am well pleased with them, fantastic cushioning. Noticed George Parker was playing with a pair earlier on in the year.

Very happy with Gel Beyond for many years but new version is 25-30% heavier and more rigid. Really disappointed & suffering calf injuries. Not sure which shoe to use…. Tactic or Elite?
