I recently got a chance to test two squash rackets produced by Gracelyne, which is a company based in West Virginia, USA. The founder, Jeff, is a squash enthusiast and basically went out and had two rackets made according to the specs he was looking for. After receiving positive feedback from players in his local squash community, he decided to form the company Gracelyne to produce and sell these rackets.
The Gracelyne rackets have eye-catching cosmetics and play well on court (especially the blue one, in my opinion). Gracelyne is looking to sell these rackets predominantly through squash pros, as opposed to online. They want their rackets to support local pros and coaches. They also plan to keep the racket specs consistent from year to year — as opposed to updating the design or the frame shape regularly — so that if you come to like the racket, you won’t have to worry about the company ceasing sales of it to make room for a new model.
A few months ago, Jeff got in touch with me to see if I’d be interesting in testing out the two frames that he has created. And I was! My video review is below.
By the way, if you’re interesting in carrying these rackets at your club, drop me an email or contact Gracelyne (and let them know I sent you!).
