Here are some ways to deal with squash shoe odor.
First things first: remember to let your shoes air dry completely after you play! And take out your insoles, if possible, to let them dry separately.
Defunkify Active Spray
I got a chance to test out Defunkify Active Spray. This stuff was great.
They also have other products including stink-reducing laundry detergent and a laundry stain spray.
Here’s the Active Spray:

I got a tip from my friend Jeremy on how to stop your squash shoes from being too stinky — stuff dryer sheets in them!
I’m sure every country has their own favorite brands of dryer sheets, but here’s one that’s popular in the US:

I try to keep the odour in the shoes strong as it can throw off the opponent. also don’t shower day before being big match and eat some garlic cloves. You may win some matches by walkover

I’m using red cedar shoe trees : http://www.center51.com/713-tonytheme_cloudzoom_big/embauchoirs-en-cedre-rouge.jpg
Normally used with formal shoes (richelieus, derbys).
They diffuse a nice smell of wood and kills odors.

Thanks for the extra feedback everyone! Will have to try the tea bag idea. And taking them out of the bag to let them breathe is a good call.

Simply put tea bags in your shoes. They absorb the odour very well. No more stinky shoes.

I found that just making sure to get the shoes out of the bag and sitting somewhere up off the ground made a huge improvement in the odor of my shoes. Loosen the laces and pull the tongues out and let them breathe.

I use dryer sheets too!
dryer sheets work well.
i keep a small box in my locker and my squash bag and use it for my shoes.
also, if you like tea…you can save your tea bags and also use those instead of bounce/dryer sheets.
also…life hack number 398….if you’re backpacking in the mountains….put 1-2 dryer sheets on your backpack or on your coat/pants and it’ll keep mosquitoes away. it works!
