What exactly are junior squash rackets, anyway? I consider them to be any squash racket shorter than the standard adult racket length of 27 inches. Generally, junior squash rackets are used by young children as they are learning the game. A shorter racket is just a little easier to operate.
All the rackets on the page below are of the shorter kind.
Personally, when my own son was 8 and had taken a few squash lessons, I discussed the racket question with the pros at my club and they recommended that juniors start out with one of the shorter rackets because the shorter length makes it a bit easier to make contact when you are first training your brain to judge the distance between yourself and the ball.
At some point, juniors will graduate to a full-size adult squash racket. There’s no set age for this, it just happens whenever the player feels more comfortable with a full-sized racket, which will give them more power. As a rough guideline, that transition will occur between 8 and 11 years old.
So, what’s a good full-size racket for a child? I would think the best option is something that’s not too heavy, since they are usually not strong yet and are still working on technique. “Too heavy” is a bit subjective but I recommend something with a frame weight of 130 or less.
Another factor is the price. I would go for something not too expensive, because hey, they’re a child, but also a junior may be prone to breaking rackets, and may also not stick with playing squash. “Too expensive” is also subjective. Personally, I would look for something under $120.
In order to get an inexpensive, not-too-heavy racket, I think the best thing to do is look at rackets that are a couple years old. The latest rackets are going to be more expensive, but retailers often discount the rackets that are a couple years old just to get them out of stock.

I dont understand why junior racket are so heavy ?
Yousef Idiòt says

A heavier racquet encourages good technique because of the required swing, also helps them get a bit of force behind the ball because they are only juniors
Pierre Bastien says

Yep, and I’d bet also because then they can use cheaper materials (so they can make the rackets inexpensive).
