I have just bought the Orc-A III to replace a Head racket. At first I was not impressed as the Orc-A felt a bit dead compared to the Head. However after a few games I got used to the feeling and realised that it is just the lack of vibration, it really is remarkable how solid the racket feels. Power is good with less effort required then what I was used to. Regarding the factory strings, it is too early for me to tell but they seem to be holding up well, I have the XOne in the Head racket and it seems to be less powerful then the original Head factory strings. Overall I can recommend the Orc-A III, it will take some time to get used to and also feels quite head heavy so keep that in mind also.

Hello Dane,
Thank you for your post on this racket.
When you said quite head heavy, is it slighty (like manufacturer description) or does it tend to be more top heavy?
And last question, does it have good control also?
Thanks.
Vincent.

Hi Vincent, it is head heavy enough to be noticeable when you are trying to quickly flick the ball with your wrist. It almost forced me to change my game to longer tight drives rather than moving the ball around the court as often as I used to. Unfortunately I broke the racket quite soon after getting it, whilst warming up the ball I hit it on the back glass and the frame broke. I did hit it hard but it is the first time I have broken a racket from one hit. I have now got a Tecnifibre Carboflex 125 S which noticeably head lighter but has a lot more vibration then the Oliver.

Hi Dane,
Following your post, I bought the Orc-A III and I played with it 2 one houred sessions.
The balance matches to your description (slightly more head-heavy than the Carboflex 125s). I had already tried a Carboflex 125s and I found it just too head-light for me.
The Orc-A III striking comfort is excellent (no vibration) and the racket is slightly flexible.
Besides, I measured Orc-A III weight and balance :
Measured weight (all-in): 150g
Measured balance : 37cm
Thanks again for your post.
Vincent.

Hi,
someone used or tested such racket? I would buy it but I need feedback about power.Beside I need to know if strings have enough quality or should be replaced with XOne Biphase.
I’m using Dunlop D Sr Apex Lite racket but my feeling about power generated is not good.
Thanks
Fabio
