Tecnifibre Carboflex Cannonball

The Tecnifibre Carboflex Cannonball is a signature racket for Miguel Angel Rodriguez that’s based on the Tecnifibre Carboflex 125, which Rodriguez has been using for years even though it’s an older racket.

The yellow and red remind me of colors from the Colombian flag.

Here’s a close-up. Now I see a little strip of blue in there, so it is the Colombian flag colors.

Tecnifibre Carboflex Cannonball Review

Lawrence purchased this racket in Malaysia and sent in a review. Thanks Lawrence!

Coming off the Head Radical 135 SB which is an even balance racket, the Cannonball definitely feels more head-heavy. It took me 30 minutes of experimenting before I realized the racket felt sweeter when I moved my grip up the handle (towards the head).

Power-wise and touch-wise, I think it plays like the Heritage, more flexible than Shorbagy’s Carboflex which I find rather stiff.

Overall a really solid racket. Like the Heritage it replaces. Just slightly head-heavy now. Plus the sick graphics. Man, they make you feel good to just hold the racket!

Here’s a video from PDH Sports that compares the Cannonball to the X-Speed 125:

Thanks

Thanks to Kevin, Ivan and Han for the tips!

Honestly I really don’t like this racquet. I switched from the Head Radical 135 SB to this, and I’m now going to switch to either the carboflex 125S or 125X. It is pretty head heavy, but weirdly doesn’t even generate much power. It feels like a fatter and thicker 125 X Speed, less maneuverable and even less powerful. I wouldn’t recommend this one, despite its awesome looks.

$200 CAD for what is effectively a 6/7 year old racket? Seems to make more sense to go and get two of these for an extra $20.

I’ve heard that the specs are little bit different, with the racquet being a little bit more head-heavy than the other 125 carboflexes. Not sure if that’s true, but if it is then that’s definitely something that could interest some people.

But otherwise, yeah you’re right. You have to admit the graphic is sick though

Spotted this racket here. Looks to be slightly more head heavy than older rackets (355mm compared to 350mm).

Would this be considered an even balance point? I’ve been looking for a teardrop racket with an even balance or even slightly head heavy instead of a head-light one, and this might be it. I tried the revelation pro ali farag but it was too head heavy for me.

So it looks like another Suprem coming too. They got rid of the angular throat (or maybe went back to the old mold)

I’m guessing it’s a version of the original Carboflex 125:
