Hey gang so I ordered myself a pair of adidas Crazyflight as part of this series of sponsored posts I’m doing with adidas. Here’s an unboxing video I put together going through the design and initial impression of these shoes:
Although these are part of adidas’s volleyball range, they’re non-marking and suitable for squash. In fact these are the shoes that Paul Coll started wearing at the tail end of last season, and I’ve heard good comments so far from Squash Source readers about these.
The Crazyflights are $140 and I like the overall design and construction out of the box. Overall they seem well-crafted. I’ll be trying these out on court soon as the squash season starts up.
A few things I’ll be keeping an eye out for:
- Grip on court. The soles of these shoes have unusual patterns I haven’t tried before. Seems to work for Paul Coll so I’m sure it’ll be fine, but I’ll be paying attention to that.
- I have a bit of an arch in my foot and these shoes felt pretty flat, so I’ll have to see how the comfort levels play out as I break them in on court.
- Durability of course as I start to wear them in.
Here’s a photo of Paul Coll with these shoes on:
