I’ve seen Unsquashable rackets around before, but the big news recently is James Willstrop has started using the brand.
Thanks to SBK and @squashcrazy for the tips!

Hi Pierre,
They’ve changed the specs to 125 grams. Feels very different to the previous 120 gram. I think the extra weight has made the racket a lot better.
Pierre says
()
Thanks Kevin, I’ve updated the specs
Alex says
()
It’s now actually 120 grams and head light balance. Very flexible but not too durable Pierre.
Lloyd says
()
I think sarah jane perry is using this racket??
Pierre says
()
Ah, the mystery is solved, thanks Lloyd. She’s got the full Unsquashable headband action as well
Lloyd says

Fun fact, her instagram says shes coming out with a signature racket soon! Keeping my eyes out for that

A reasonable choice, but I recommend advanced players to upgrade the factory strings to either Ashaway or Tecnifibre. It is a good racket overall.

I think this has been superseded by the James Willstrop Autograph, only because this isn’t listed on the unsquashable website any more.
I had a look at the rackets during the AJ Bell Grand Prix and I will try to summarise what I saw…
High End (120-130 grams):
– JW Autograph (closed throat, head-light)
– JK 555Pro (open throat, head-light)
– Tour-Tec Pro (open throat, head-light/even)
Upper mid range:
– JW Hero
– JK Hero

I forgot to mention that the JW/JK Hero rackets are 140 grams (unstrung I think).

Ah you’re right, the Y-Tec Pro is no longer listed on their Website. James was still using it at this month’s tournament but maybe will switch to the Autograph.

The Y-tec Pro is listed again on their website

Wonder what strings James uses in this? It doesn’t appear to be the green tecnifibre ones he previously used while at Prince.
IMO, the strings are nearly a bigger consideration than the choice of frame?

()
Its being unveiled at The british grand prix tournament in december i think
Jason says
()
This racket doesnt suit James as much as the Prince ones did
Bill says
()
When did his relationship with Prince end? Is there a back story like Amr Shabana’s with Dunlop?
Pierre Bastien says
()
James is actually still listed on the Prince Website, so it seems to be pretty recent. Haven’t heard a back story yet.
Tjeerd Mäkel says
()
During the TOC 2016 in New York, James was playing with Prince, but there was no Prince logo on the strings. I didn’t notice it at that time, but it was probably the first sign of the ending relationship with Prince…

Looks like a clone of the Carboflex, even balance, 130g, I wonder if it’s the same factory…
I like the rather restrained, almost circumspect look of it, the satin black and white branding feels grown up.
Would love to try it.
