The Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion Z, not to be confused with the Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion X.
These shoes look like they have a tiny sweater around the ankle.

I was attracted by the design of the shoe, and the fact that it offers a Wide version. First of all, it’s half size small. I usually wears 27.5 cm for badminton shoes, but this shoe in 27.5 was impossibly small. I exchanged for a 28.0 cm and it’s still slightly tight, though bearable. Second, the Wide version isn’t very wide, internally. It does look wider on the outside, but on the inside it’s just normal. All my other badminton shoes are standard width and flexible enough to accommodate my slightly wider right foot, but this shoe in W is really tight on the forefoot. Go figure. Third, the collar provides no support whatsoever. This may be the biggest design flaw. It looks pretty and refreshing, but functionally sucks. To get ankle-level support, you have to tie the shoe lace really tight, which causes blood circulation to stop at the ankle because there is no padding there to buffer the shoe lace. It’s as if you tie a string around your ankle directly. A friend of mine bought this exact shoe as well, and exact same problems. I think the version with regular collar will be better, but that version doesn’t offer Wide.
