Adidas Counterblast Bounce are high-end, non-marking indoor court shoes from Adidas. They are part of Adidas’s handball line of shoes.

The Adidas Counterblast Bounce first appeared in 2018 and at that time the shoe had a built-in booty or sock of sorts that hugged your foot. The 2019 design has changed substantially. Adidas did away with the booty design and went with something closer to a conventional, low-top cut. They have also gone with more traditional cosmetics.

Review
This is a review in German from weplayhandball.de. The subtitles are in English – for me, anyway – and they are informative. Some highlights:
- More conservative, mature style
- Lighter – 330 grams, or ten grams lighter than the 2018 model
- Adidas got rid of the “booty construction” that hugged the ankle
- There is additional reinforcement added around the heel, making the shoe stiffer and more stable

2018 Models
Here are the 2018 models. 2018 was the first year that I saw this particular line of shoes for sale. They all have a sock/booty design that resembles a mid-top cut. I don’t love the graphic designs on these.

I just bought a pair and got to play a local tournament in these. These are really comfortable and I especially like the interior sock that holds the foot really good. The counterblast bounce are more light (350gr) than the stabil x (440gr) using a no 9US. The cushioning is good but not as good as the stabil x. I hope the soleplate won’t wear down after 5 months like the stabil x.
