Adidas Squash Shoes

Adidas squash shoes are indoor court shoes from Adidas that are appropriate for squash. Adidas squash shoes have been quite popular among professionals as well as club players over the years, although they are not as popular as they used to be.

You’ll still see pro players using Adidas, but often they are using older models like the Adidas Stabil 11 that they’ve stocked up on.

Adidas actually do not make a squash-specific shoe. They make handball and volleyball shoes, which are appropriate for the squash court.

The most common Adidas shoes for squash (in my opinion) are the Stabil, Stabil Bounce, and Essence lines. The other Adidas shoes, such as the Crazyflight line, are also non-marking court shoes and can be used on the squash court, I just don’t see them as often.

2021 Adidas Squash Shoes

Adidas Court Team Bounce

New color schemes for 2021.

Prices spotted: €72

Adidas Essence

New colors for the Essence in 2021:

Prices spotted: €54

Adidas ForceBounce

One new color for the Forcebounce:

Prices spotted: €90

2020 Adidas Squash Shoes

Adidas Stabil Next Gen

Looks like Adidas updated the top-end Stabil. These came out in summer, 2020. They look pretty bulky, far as squash is concerned.

Prices spotted: €125

Adidas Adizero Fastcourt

A new model for 2020.

Prices spotted: €110

Adidas ForceBounce

This is a new model for 2020. They’re sold as handball shoes. I’m a little tempted to try these out on the squash court.

Prices spotted: €90

Adidas Court Team Bounce

These are coming out in early 2020. They seem to be a mid-price shoe.

Prices spotted: €75

Adidas Essence

Looks like the long-running Essence line has been redesigned a bit for 2020:

Prices spotted: €55

Adidas Speedcourt

This is, I think, the least expensive court shoe in the Adidas lineup. They have a couple new styles out for 2020.

Prices spotted: €45

2019 Adidas Squash Shoes

Adidas Stabil X

Looks like a slightly modified version of the Adidas Stabil X for 2019:

Adidas Stabil Bounce

The Adidas Stabil Bounce is less expensive than the Stabil X above:

Adidas Counterblast Bounce

Adidas released two new Adidas Counterblast Bounce models:

Adidas Crazyflight X 3

The Adidas Crazyflight X 3 are meant for volleyball but I’ve never seen any squash players using them. They’re non-marking though, so I’m including them here. They come in both men’s and women’s versions and in both low-cut and mid-top versions. They’re a high-end shoe.

Adidas Crazyflight Bounce 3

The Adidas Crazyflight Bounce 3 is the third version of this volleyball shoe. It comes in men’s and women’s versions. It’s less expensive than the Crazyflight X 3 above.

Adidas Essence

Some 2019 models in the Essence range.

Adidas Ligra 6

The Adidas Ligra 6 appear to be the least expensive volleyball shoes from Adidas.

Adidas Speedcourt

The Adidas Speedcourt is a bit of a mystery to me. I see new versions turn up once in a while, only in Europe. They’re inexpensive court shoes from Adidas.

2018 Adidas Squash Shoes

Adidas Stabil X

These are one of the top-end Adidas squash shoes. Usually that means these have the most cushioning, but are the most expensive.

The Adidas Stabil X is the latest edition of Adidas’s top-end shoe. The 2018 versions:

Adidas Stabil Bounce

The Adidas Stabil Bounce came out in 2018. I tested these and they were quite comfortable, though not especially durable. You can watch my video review at that link.

Adidas Essence

The Adidas Essence is the least expensive shoe in the Adidas range. Least cushioning, but also the lightest shoe in the range.

2018 models:

Adidas Ligra 6

These are a low-cost court shoe from Adidas that I haven’t heard a whole lot about.

The Adidas Ligra 6 came out in 2018:

Adidas Counterblast

Adidas Counterblast 2018 models:

Adidas Counterblast Bounce

The Adidas Counterblast Bounce came out in 2018. Originally they were only mid-top shoes. They don’t look very squashy to me. The 2019 models (above) look better.

Adidas Crazyflight X 2.0

This is a high-end court shoe from Adidas.

The 2018 models are called Adidas Crazyflight X 2.0:

Adidas Crazyflight Bounce 2.0

Adidas Crazyflight Bounce 2.0 came out in 2018:

Adidas Crazyflight Team

The Adidas Crazyflight Team appear to be the least expensive of the three Crazyflight models.

2018 models:

Adidas Exadic

The Adidas Counterblast Exadic are new for 2018:

2017 Adidas Squash Shoes

Adidas Stabil X

Adidas Stabil X 2017 models:

Adidas Counterblast

Adidas Counterblast 2017 models:

Adidas Ligra 5

The Adidas Ligra 5 came out in 2017:

Adidas Multido Essence

Adidas Multido Essence 2017 shoes:

Adidas Crazyflight X

The 2017 models of the Adidas Crazyflight X:

Adidas Court Stabil

This is a mid-range shoe from Adidas — a little less cushioning, a little lighter, and a little less expensive than the Adipower Stabil.

Spotted in 2017, a new version called simply Adidas Court Stabil:

Adidas Crazyflight Bounce

The Adidas Crazyflight Bounce was new for 2017. A little less expensive than the Crazyflight X.

Adidas Crazyflight Team

Adidas Crazyflight Team 2017 models:

2016 Adidas Squash Shoes

The 2016 version was the Adidas Court Stabil 13:

Adidas Volley Response Boost

This is the Adidas Volley Response Boost 2, which came out in 2016.

Adidas Volley Team 4

The 2016 version of this shoe was the Adidas Volley Team 4.

Hi. I’ve been seen the Adidas Essence, but the sole on the heel is very wide … they look like Frankenstein’s boots … has anyone tried them on squash? Regards

Hi, Would you consider Adidas Indoor Super an option for Squash. They were Originally squash shoes in the 80s but more of a fashion shoe now. Do you think they are a bit out-dated? However considering Hi Tec Classics are still widely used today I thought these might still be good? And very cool, IMO. Cheers, Paddy

They seem to be non-marking so I think you could wear them on a squash court, but they don’t appear to have any reinforcement around the toe box, so they may start to deteriorate relatively quickly from toe drag. They also don’t seem to be very cushioned. They do look cool though, I must say.

        thanks for the quick response.

Have you tried them, and if so do you think they still stand up to shoes like the new salming Kobra 2 and the asics fastball 3? These guys are pretty old.

I used an earlier version, the Stabil 10. I liked them at first but over time my knees started to ache for some reason. I also recall them being a bit bulky. I liked the original Kobra better. I haven’t tried the Kobra 2 or Fastball 3!

    •Adidas Counterblast Exadic

Appreciate it if you could explain about it 🙂

Adidas Stabil X : Mid-Cut, for Wide feet, Full upper Mesh, extra cushioning, side bracing stripes holding the shoe and i think this is the best model in market right now.

Adidas Stabil Bounce : short-cut, almost same specs as the Stabil X model, but back side is slightly different with no bracing stripes in the mid. i believe this is a light version of Stabil X

Adidas Counterblast : Mid-Cut, for slim feet, not breatable like the stabil x model, Ultra light (made for quick feet), less cushioning than the Stabil x with less padding. looks semi arch shoe from the pictures.

Adidas Counterblast Exadic : another ultra light shoe, low- cut model only, but this one supported with upper mesh and more breathable than the Counterblast (Low-cut) and the Counterblast Bounce (Mid-cut).

Hi Av, I’ve never anybody wearing them for squash but I had a look at these and the soles are labeled as non-marking, so they could be safely used on the squash court.

Pretty decent pair of shoes. Coming from the Adidas Stabil 10.1 this certainly not in the same class. But if you need an affordable pair I think you won’t go wrong with this.
