Hi,
i would like to add a review on the Adidas Stabil 12 shoe ( White, black, neon yellow ) after 3 months of wearing it:
Lighter than the Adidas Stabil 10 & 11 ( 5 stars ).
Stiff when you try it, but after 3 days of playing it turned out perfectly. keeping in mind it is a narrow width shoes. i recommend it for any player looking for stability & balance.
impressive stability and gripping as well as the Stabil older versions.
it is a non marking shoes.
Silver layer appeared after a week in the toe area! left shoe. As explained previously by Dan ” The thin black rubber has come off in the toe area during toe drags during lunges, exposing the silver layer ”
but it’s nothing to worry about and definitely not a shoe killer ! i would prefer if the maker worked better on the front thin black coating.
Rating 4 stars out of 5.

Hi
I see the Court Stabil12 shoes have black soles. We don’t allow black sole shoes at our club as they mark the floors. Will the Stabil 12 shoes with black soles mark a squash court?
Please give me you feedback. Thanks very much

Hi Jeff, they are non-marking. They will not mark the floors. You can show your local club this on the sole to (possibly) ease their fears:You can also tell them Saurav Ghosal and Fares Dessouky play with these :)What’s probably happening here is the club has had people mark up the floor before, which is a huge nuisance and expensive to clean, so to prevent it happening again they’ve just made a blanket rule against dark soles because they don’t want to have to inspect everyone’s soles in detail. I can understand that. You may want to pre-emptively tell them you’ve researched these shoes and are confident about them and see what they say. They may still not allow them 🙁

Anyone with experience between these and the new Stabil Power Boost from Adidas? I am on the market for new squash shoes and come from Stabil 11 (which where the best I’ve ever owned so far).

try a pair of salming shoes
i’ve converted 3 players at my club and they all agree…best squash shoe they’ve ever put on
you can thank us salming lovers later!

I’ve owned a pair of Salming shoes, the Racing R2. But it didn’t give me the right grip. I am a somewhat tall player (1,96mtr) and with big lunges I ask a lot from my shoes. Salming worn out very soon. But the Adipower Stabil 11 was a very durable pair.
What Salming shoe would you recommend? Viper?

Here is my review I left for these on Amazon, I have the white/black/neon yellow pair:
“Just OK, playable, but not mind-blowingly good – 4 of 5 stars – I bought and use these for squash 3 to 4 times a week. My last pair of squash shoes was the Adidas Adipower Stabil 11 shoes which lasted almost a year; I had hoped these new shoes might perform as well as or be designed in a very similar way to because these are the next and latest version of the Stabil lineage. The Stabil 12’s are ok, but not excellent. I definitely prefer the Stabil 11’s over the Stabil 12’s. I replaced the stock insoles since they were insufficient. The thin black rubber has come off in the toe area during toe drags during lunges, exposing the silver layer which lies below the black rubber, but toe drag is a shoe killer on almost all squash shoes, so it is not a specific deficit of this shoe that wouldn’t also be a similar problem if you regularly drag your feet when lunging to retrieve the ball. They aren’t completely terrible, I can play in them and will wear them until they fall apart, hopefully in a year, but basically I wish these Stabil 12’s were as awesome as the 11’s.”
As AJ mentioned, these are about 50% off right now ($45 w/ free shipping) on Amazon which is pretty damn good for a playable squash shoe.

Dessouki was wearing these in Black and White at the ToC. They’ve been on major discount on amazon for a while now. They feel pretty stiff and the fit is a bit narrow.
