Black Knight Magnum Frost

The Black Knight Magnum Frost. The black and white color scheme is dope, and the black and white swirly grip pulls the whole outfit together.

Do you feel that cool breeze? It’s the Frost, slicing through your area.

I first saw the Black Knight Magnum Frost in the hands of Aussie Ryan Cuskelly at the 2013 British Open:

The Frost is discontinued, along with the Lava and the old Corona, all replaced by the Corona 6. Ryan is likely playing with the Frost still because the new Corona 6 has a less dense stringbed and that has changed how the racket plays. The control on the Corona 6 is a bit less dialed in. It tends to “spray” a bit more.

Hi D, would you mind elaborating on that? What does “spray” mean exactly? Today I tried a couple of racquets and among them the Lava 6, which felt incredibly good. A lot of control and the ball would always hit the sweet spot of the racquet with no efforts. I am now looking for it but it’s hard to find as it was discontinued long ago. I read Pierre’s article here (https://www.squashsource.com/rare-black-knight-rackets/) and was thinking of buying the Corona 6 but your comment seems too imply that they are rather different.

D was trying to say that the Magnum Forst and Magnum Lava (both of which are the same, but with different cosmetics) have a different number of crosses and mains from the Magnum Corona6 and Magnum Lava6 Chrome (both of which are the same).

The Corona6/Lava6 Chrome has lesser strings so I find that it has less control than the Frost/Lava. However the Corona6/Lava6 makes up for it with “Power of 6” technology by giving it more power.

That is very clear, thank you!
