The Dunlop Hyperfibre XT Revelation Pro. This appears to be the 2019 version of the Dunlop Hyperfibre+ Revelation Pro, otherwise known as Ali Farag’s signature racket.

Update: this racket is being replaced by the Dunlop Sonic Core Revelation Pro in 2021

Reviews

Here’s my review. Best I can tell it feels very similar to the previous model.

Spotted

Here’s Ali Farag already playing with the racket at the 2019 British Open:

Here’s a page from the (Korean) Dunlop squash rackets catalog. It looks like the racket will be called the Dunlop Hyperfibre XT Revelation Pro, or possibly the “Hyperfibre+ XT”, but I personally am hoping they drop the plus sign for simplicity.

There’s also a sneak peek of the racket in this video tour of the Dunlop offices in Eindhoven, Netherlands:

The new Dunlop rackets are arriving on the scene in July 2019. I’ll update this page as I learn more about the racket.

Thanks

Thanks to Philip, Bw and Kevin for the tips!

Hi all! Happy New Year! So, I have this racquet but I cracked the grommet on it today attempting to return a really tight rail. The squash retailers I use don’t have any grommets listed specifically for this racquet. Do any of you know if the grommet for the previous Ali Farag racquet (or any other Dunlop racquet) will work? Thanks.

      Hi Juan,
don’t know if the previous grommits will fit, but at qss squash you can get a grommit set for the latest model as well….

I have the original version, and I noticed that when I restrung it the racket got taller by around 1.5 cm (I have a brand new 2018 version racket to compare to) as it was squished from the sides.

I thought it was a stringing mistake, and when we broke the strings it returned to its regular shape. We strung it again several times at several tensions (26 then 25 lbs) making sure to string the vertical strings first, but it kept getting squished. At the end I kept playing with it like that and still have my new racket in its bag. It feels mostly the same, but sometimes I get the feeling that the sweet-spot has become smaller.

Two days ago PDHSports made a vlog on their youtube channel with a Dunlop representative and he mentioned something very interesting. He said that the original 2018 version was strengthened (the Hyperfibre technology) at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions, while the new 2019 model is strengthened a bit lower at the 2, 6 and 10 o’clock positions.

This would make a noticeable difference in play, and I believe would prevent the squishing that happens to the racket when it is restrung.

    What do you think?

That’s funny I never thought about such dramatic transformation of the head shape when you string it. I found that the change in reinforcement on the new Dunlops does make a difference in how they feel. (An improvement in my opinion.) I liked the new feel so much I switched to the new rackets (the Pro Lite). It feels a little stiffer on impact and I’m liking that

Yes! Might be this or the Pro Lite. There’s a photo here plus some other Nantes sightings:

Hopefully better than the last one, based on my anecdotal experience. I bought the Pro Lite and it broke after a month of usage. I never slam my racket into the wall or anything like that, although it probably didnt help that it was slightly bent after the packaging from pdhsports got demolished during transport.

What I’ve heard from my local retailer is that these XT rackets are mostly just a repaint, no major differences to the previous models.
