Wilson Tour 138 BLX

The Wilson Tour 138 BLX. This is the 2015/2016 version, I think.

Update: this racket is being replaced by the Wilson Pro Staff Ultra Light.

Racket Info

Looks like the 2014/2015 incarnation of the long-running Wilson Tour BLX, which Peter Barker has played with forever. I wonder if he’ll ever switch to the new racket?

Answer? Yes. (See below.)

Tom Richards is also using the new Wilson Tour 138 BLX. Here he is at the 2015 British Open:

Here’s Nicky Mueller. He had been using the Wilson Ripper 133, but looks like as of November 2015 he has switched to the Wilson Tour 138 BLX.

Hi what the Wilson n squash racket head like advance, can you generate a lot of power although it’s a lighter head ( I can hit the ball very hard ) I am used to a slightly heaver racket I currently use a 145 n tour code strike

Hello, I’m playing with an old Wilson Tour BLX (the 2011 model). I’m an improver player and I’m thinking to change racket with a newer model and maybe heavier than 138g, I would also like to stick to Wilson as brand. Do you have any suggestions? I was considering the Wilson Pro Staff Countervail. Please continue with this website it’s really a detailed source for squash equipment. Thanks.

I haven’t played with the Wilsons but the Countervail looks like the same mold as the Tour BLX so I’m guessing it’ll feel quite similar

    Brilliant racket !

I had to make a big adjustment to this racket as I was used to playing with Prince rackets that, to my opinion, have a completely different feel which I would define as “crisper”.
However, I am not going back anytime soon as this one is a keeper !

Though primarily balanced with precision in mind it gives a good amout of power that can be, of course, increased by changing the chords and/or their tension.

I normally find the weight of 130-140 to be perfect and this racket is no different + it feels lighter than it actually is.

Great racket. Small head gives you lots of control but also feel. The not so dense stringing pattern gives it enough power. Not the lightest of rackets but try with an extra thick grip (I use 2 over grips) and the balance is perfect.
