Notes
Based on the comment below from Ray, it appears this “Version 2.0” is a slightly different design from the prior model.

Advertised weight (unstrung): 143 grams
Advertised balance: 36
Head size: 467 cm sq
String pattern: 14 x 18
Product Notes
Similar head shape to the Wilson Pro Staff Ultra Light, and based on the Wilson Tour 138 BLX. Priced at $180, so I guess this is the high-end frame in the 2017 Wilson squash rackets range.

Tried the 3.0 (2022) version of this racquet (arrived from Germany in 3 days) and I really like it. Identical frame, but string pattern is scooched up from the bottom horizontal sting a fraction of an inch, with all the intermediate strings respaced proportionately so that the sweet spot of the string pattern is displaced ever so slightly toward the tip. And the old Wilson NXT power 18 strings from the version 2.0 are replaced with some make I can’t determine, but the racquet plays well for me. Difficult to say for sure that all of the grommet pieces (3-piece) are redesigned or reused, perhaps only the head grommet is slightly changed and the two side pieces are common with the 3.0. Weight as strung before adding overgrip and head tape came in at 153 grams, right in the middle of the range for my previous five version 2.0 Pro Staffs (149-155 grams weighed on a digital scale). Not available in North America or even on Wilson’s site in North America, but it does show up on the German language site. Purchased using the provided affiliate link. Thanks.

Just unboxed my new Pro Staff CV all black two tone (gloss middle over flat black). Some interesting markings:
“Version 2.0”;
Unstrung weight 140 g; “Frame weight” 123g; (balance) 35.2 cm;(area) 485 cm2.
Old Version 1.0: (weight) 146 g;(area) 467 cm2; (balance) 36.0 cm.
Newer racquet head extends approx. 5/16″ deeper in throat, noticeably wider, I’d say it is mid way between a traditional head size and a midsize. String pattern appears marginally tighter, more so in contact zone. Head shape at the top more oval, less squared than the legacy head shape this version 1.0 racquet was taken from.
On my scale including strings, weighed 148 g versus 158 g for my most recent ‘version 1.0’ measured in December 2019, so a bit truer to the spec weight for the new guy.

So would you say v1.0 or 2.0 is better? I just tried out a 2017 1.0 the other day, I was pleasantly surprised! Really enjoyed it.
Seems the 2019 v2.0 is not as easy to find these days, some retailers got them but had to do some searching.
Same for the 1.0 in fact

I prefer the smaller head size of the the 1.0, but CV 2.0 larger head size and lighter weight overall make it very versatile and permits higher racquet head speeds when using a compact swing or when playing with an English style of downswing to create variety in the strokes while being forgiving. I have gravitated to the UL models and am now playing with the screaming red UL 2.0 version. Racquetguys used to carry this but are currently sold out. I got a backup racquet from Amazon. They currently have both 2.0 CV and UL.I’m suspecting Wilson might be done with squash (?) because they don’t show it on their website. Racquet-science still has the 1.0 CV. It was very highly rated by the SquashGalaxy in their old ratings which is why I gave it a try. Super racquet, but I like something lighter now with a similar feel.

Nice!
I ended up selling my 1.0 on eBay, the initial play that I did well with was nice, but the next few outings the ‘honeymoon phase’ was certainly over, and the extra weight you speak on it, and the head heavy balance on it started to be more apparent to my game and swing and little nuances were getting negatively impacted.
I tried a new 2022 Radical 135 (non SB, black/silver/grey cosmetics) and that’s been great too, but it’s still a bit Too head heavy for me on the balance.
Perhaps the UL’s would be better… If I can find one maybe I’ll snag it for a try. I recently tried and have the new 2022 Radical (non SB) and the overall weight of it is nice, currently at 153g on the scale, but too head heavy for my preference, I am selling that on eBay now

Maybe the Wilson Blade Countervail – she was spotted with that at an earlier tournament
