  • Might finally get to use an Ashaway string after Christmas, might get two Black Knight Magnum Corona 6 Squash Racket to add to my collection as they come pre strung in Ashaway Supernick XL Micro. Anyway it is a braided surface which provides excellent control, it is a thinner version of the Ashaway SuperNick XL, which Peter Nicol uses in his Prince 03 tour. This means it has better play ability but less durability.

  • Hi there Ben,
I’ve been using this string since I bought a roll of it last April and I’ve only broken one set after two months of constant use (playing four to six matches per week), so I don’t think durability is much of an issue. I find the braided surface makes it easier to ‘cut’ the ball and adds control. Compared to cheaper strings I used in the past this one seems to hold the tension much more accurately. I highly recommend this string.
