Bought this racquet yesterday and have it rattling already. Not happy.

Argh that is super annoying. Someone showed me once how to remove the butt of the grip and shake out the debris but I have never tried it. I will see if I can do a video of me trying. (You shouldn’t have to go through that but it might be better than rattling.)

What is the mph of the Force Revelation 125???
Which is better to use the Carboflex125 or the Force Revelation 125
Thanks,
Aaron

I’m not sure what you mean by mph.
Those are both good rackets, I don’t have a particular preference between them. I’d pick the one that you can get a better deal on (or that you think looks cooler) and just keep playing with it until you are comfortable with it

Hello Pierre,
I have come down between two rackets the Revelation 125 and the 130 Carboflex. After playing for a while I feel more connected with the carboflex 130, I like the power that it offers and it is very balanced. I found the 125 Revelation a bit more head heavy. The carboflex offers a lot of protection and power, speed, and control.
Thanks,
Aaron

I used it for a few shots and seemed perfect. However, during the game it wasn’t very powerful and the control seemed off. Especially during the drop shots they never hit where I wanted them to go.
It could be just me, but I felt that compared to some of my earlier rackets this one let me down.
Should I change the strings or the grip – please advise as I want to make this expensive equipment work,

Hi Ray
Change both! Factory strings are normally dead, and the grip gets slippery very quickly. Better to change these relatively low-cost items than to lose hope on an expensive racket! I’m sure you’ll love it after the changes!

Agreed with Lawrence, definitely experiment with both

I purchased this racquet after watching your review and I love it. The only concern I have is whether the racquet is original (bought it on Amazon, I live in SF). I’ve hit it lightly against the wall yesterday and there’s a rattling sound from within the racquet that’s driving me nuts. How can we differentiate between real and fake Dunlop Top of the Line Racquets?

It’s surely a real Dunlop. Sometimes a little piece of graphite will break off on the inside of the frame and it rattles around like that and I agree, it’s super annoying. I have heard you can remove the end cap of the grip and shake the piece out, however I tried this once and wasn’t sure how to do it without screwing up the racket. What I would do is call up Dunlop directly and say you’re having this problem and see if they’ll replace it.

What strings would you recommend for these racquets? I’m looking for more control versus power.

Hi Pierre
I’ve got this racket for awhile now , but never developed a liking for it … every time I pick it hit a few and drop it and continue to use carboflex. I jus saw in one of the posts I’ve recommended change of strings , could u pls suggest which one. I’m thinking of tecnfibre dynamax or the red ones

@Arvind if you like the Carboflex, and you have the black strings, then it’s probably strung with DNAMX, so that’s a good one to try on the Dunlop since you are familiar with it
@Nish a recent touch string I’ve liked is Ashaway SuperNick ZX Micro. And I am also enjoying the Ashaway SuperNick XL Micro. Both strings have a little bit of grip to them, which I find helpful for touch.
