Advertised weight (unstrung): 129 grams
Head size: 480 cm sq
String pattern: 16×17

Product Notes

This racket came out for sale in late 2015. It’s most likely a custom version of the Prince Airstick 130, which Ramy had been using previously.

Apparently Textreme is some sort of carbon fiber technology.

A few months ago, Ramy Ashour posted this teaser photo on social media. Thanks to Michel for the heads up!

Then Ramy was spotted using his new racket at the 2015 NetSuite Open in San Francisco. Thanks to Eamon for the tip!

  1. I saw this Pro Warrior 600 for sale at Decathlon for £44.99 https://www.decathlon.co.uk/pro-warrior-600-id_8393268.html
Sounds too good to be true.
Is it the same one as the one being reviewed here? It doesn’t have Ramy Ashour’s name on it but seems to have the same specs.
    Could some adivce please?

    1. Hi Leon, I’ve posted some more info about this racket here: https://www.squashsource.com/prince-pro-warrior-600/

  2. Not sure Ramy is using this at the team worlds? it’s a white racket but has the Prince logo on the strings?

    1. I was gonna say the same, unless its just light reflection??

    2. If it looks like any current racket, it will be the pro sovereign which is quite a change!! Clearly its a racket that isn’t out yet??

      1. seems a new white one

        1. I sent a tweet in the hope he’ll give us something

      2. It does seem like the Pro Sovereign

        1. I’m gonna go out on a limb to say that it is his beloved Airstick 130 reincarnated!

  3. Balance of new prince racket range is not good.

    1. Could you elaborate? Are you taking about the 650 Ramy version or the 600?

      1. No not the 600 or 650 but higher ones in power. they are not manoeuvrable

  4. Bad news for fans?
Ramy signed 3 more years with Prince.

    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=880908098741442&id=155898394575753

    1. He seems to be the last Prince player standing…

    2. How do you know its 3? Looks to be only 1 so far

      1. Hi Lloyd,

        Quoted as below:

Prince is proud to celebrate three years with our five times World Champion Squash player, Ramy Ashour

Five Time? Included two time junior champions? LOL

        1. Sorry, i was questioning how you know its 3 more years

  5. alternate of warrior 600 … which racket u recommend…

  6. Seems like Ramy isn’t listing Prince as one of his sponsors anymore on his social media posts. He also dropped the Prince stencil on his strings.

    1. I think some big brand (e.g tecnifibre etc.) should swoop in now and get Ramy onboard – Prince obviously don’t really care about squash anymore and they’ve lost all their big players (Serme, Willstrop, David and it now appears Ramy too).

Whatever racket Ramy uses will sell plenty.

      1. It’s a bit weird around Ramy anyways. He is using the old Race (red) shoes instead of the new Salming Ramy branded one (blue) at the China open. Also he was still using the Prince 600 racket instead of the new Ramy branded 650. However, that warrior 650 was supposed to come out in August, but seems to have been delayed until October/November. Now I’m wondering if that racket will come out at all. I have a frame crack in my 600 due to somebody hitting my racket and was waiting for that 650 to come out. But it seems I have to start looking for an alternative. Which is frustrating, because that racket plays really smooth.

        1. Nobody seems to know what’s up with Prince these days / whether they’ll come back from the dead

  7. In my opininion, in comparison to the Airstick Lite, which i like very much to play with, the pro warrior is too headheavy (for me). Very difficult to control. But may be Ramy plays better than i 🙂 Smiley.

    1. I have to correct my statement. I’ve now here the Warrior and the 550 lite, both the Textreme version. Balance of the warrior is a little more headlight than the 550 Pro Airstick lite; 35,3 cm/36 cm. Weight: Warrior 158 g strung/Airstick 156 g strung, both stock grip plus an overgrip = same weight.
Note: I also played the Airstick lte 550 2014 without the Textreme material. The newer one with Textreme is stiffer than the older one.

  8. please could anyone guide me from where shall I buy the bumper guard for this Ramy Ashour prince-textreme-pro-warrior-600 racket?

    1. Hi Mohamed,
If you are based in Egypt-Cairo, you could find it at Event Squash Shop, Mossadak St.

      1. thanks ya basha but I need more details please I’m out of Cairo now coming back in the second week of may would you give me a detailed map or a phone number?

        1. Hi Mohamed,

  9. Thank you Pierre saw that also but looking that up Prince doesn’t have a string with that name so looked at all the ones that are black and narrowed it to the XX which there are two different ones in 17g and the Rebel…will have to pull out a magnifying glass tonight and see if I can make it out. Like the stick!
    Thank you

  10. I see there are two different Lightning XX 17 g string one with the solid core the other multi. Anyone know which is stock in the Ramy 600 Warrior? Or is it Rebel? I have one just can’t seem to make out what it says on the string….Thank you

    1. Hi JB, where are you seeing the two versions of Lightning XX 17g? I can only find this one on the Pricne website: http://shop.princesquash.com/Lightning-XX-17-Black.aspx

I should probably do a page on here for Prince strings. Thanks

      1. On the bay some xx show with a solid core then wrapped other xx is a multi thoughout. Feels like it is strung at 25-26 lbs. Enjoying it so far but from the reviews out there people are saying they break easily. Called one place in NY to purchase another one and they said Prince pulled them because of breakage and they have not replaced them with new ones yet. Time will tell…Enjoy the game!

        1. I can confirm the easy breakage of these rackets.

There are 2 players at my club who used to play with these. Together, they burned up 6 of them in one year. Breakages were mainly in the top of the frame, between 11 and 1 o’clock.

  11. Hey, do you think there are any other good rackets (other than prince) that have similar grip width? I’ve tried the tecnifibre 125 but the grip was too large which I didn’t like. Thanks!

    1. Some Karakal grips are similar…if you like the Prince grip stick with them the grip is half the battle in finding one you like…

  12. Hey guys, my coach uses this racket, and I tried out this racket once and I liked the size (width) of the handle/grip a lot. My question is that are all Prince handles the same size or do they differ? Thanks!

    1. I have four Prince rackets including the Ramy one and they feel pretty similar so I’d say so

  13. Do someone have any any idea about the string ramy ashoure use in his prince prowarrior 600 thankyou!

      1. ok thanks

  14. Hi everyone!
I need many people precious advice regarding to buy new racket.
i am the person who prefers more power and highly maneuverable racket.
i am currently using prince pro beast power bite 750 (2014) and really like it but considering to buy new technology as i dont like the jerk factor in this racket.
so i have three options prince pro warrior 600(ramy) , prince textreme pro beast 750(2016) and technifiber carboflex 125 s. i have heard prince rackets are to much fragile but i dont think so that is the case with prince pb 750 (2014) however people say that pro warrior 600 is to much fragile and with a small hit with wall it breaks.I also dont like more width of handle in carboflex as it makes racket less manoeuvrable.
Based on experience which one will be lightest as i remember dunlop apex 110 was labelled as 110grams but it felt more heavier than pro beast that is rated as 128g. so among the three options which one be lightest, most powerful and maneuverable.Lastly please compare the string pattern between both prince rackets.which one will be best for me 🙂
    Thankyou all!

    1. I have old 750, and the new Textreme 750 now. Also I have the new Textreme Airstick 550. I think you would enjoy the Textreme 750, as it feels quite a bit different than the Beast 750. It is balanced differently, a tad more head-heavy and you don’t get that jerk factor. As you game improves I find the 750 Beast easier to use; there are many advantages to this racket for volleys and lobs but you do have to stay focused on your rails. The (2) Textreme rackets a I have now seem to vibrate much much more than the Beast 750. I think I have Ashaway blue? on it and there is very little vibration. I played with Textreme 750 the other night and felt really good doing some long-game practice, but also did not notice anything adverse doing wrist flicks

  15. I bought a prince racquet a few month ago & it is broken what can I do????

    1. Hi Rania
Did you break it at the head/top of the racket and/or by hitting it against the wall? Most brands will not replace the racket if it is broken between 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock; anywhere else is subject to their discretion to replace or not. Best is to take it back to the shop that sold you the racket and ask them.

Prince rackets have been known to break easily tho….. 🙁

Hope this helps. Enjoy the game!

  16. I’ve spotted this racquet with a different cosmetic which is in Red and Black colour that does not have Ramy’s signature.

    1. and you don’t mean this one, right?

      http://shop.princesquash.com/product.aspx?zpid=15470

      1. No. It’s written Pro Warrior on the racquet. I have a picture of it, not sure how to upload tho.

        1. upload to imgur and post link. what country did you see this in?

          1. Images via David (click to enlarge):

            [gallery columns="2" link="file" size="medium" ids="28009,28007"]

    2. Pretty sure that was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Beng Hee’s dad’s pro shop to be precise.

  17. There is now a review of it on YouTube by PDH sports

    1. Thanks Alex — added

  18. Just found another store which also sells this. Bought it from [here](http://www.squash-expert.co.uk/prince-pro-warrior-600-ramy-ashour-signature/235036) yesterday

    1. was Ramy playing with this at the British Open? is he still using the green Tecnifibre strings?

      1. i believe so.

i know for sue he was using this racket back in november in seattle.

        unsure which strings though..

      2. I believe yes to both

  19. I just received these rackets from London, and they are awesome.
The balance seems more even, but feels heavier than Tecnifibre Carboflex 125s.
There is more control than what I use currently which is the 2012 Prince EXO3 rebel.
Overall, to be honest, the Tecnifibre Carboflex 125s has a more generous sweet spot. Nevertheless it’s a well balanced prince and I am enjoying it.
The textreme material feels more solid than Carboflex 125s.

  20. Hi All,
Just a quick heads up that we have started stocking the new Ramy racquet (Prince Pro Warrior 600) Textreme and it is available now in the USA & Canada.

    http://www.squashunlimited.com/products/prince-textreme-pro-warrior-600-ramy

After a brief hit yesterday initial impressions were:
    – very solid plow through for a light weight rkt (145 grams strung)
    – nice vibration dampening but still had feel on the ball.

We will be receiving the new Beast 750 and Airstick Lite 550 in TeXtreme material shortly.

Full reviews will be posted online in the next few weeks.

    Cheers,
    Larry Howes
    Squash Unlimited

    1. awesome!!!!

      thank you larry!

    2. Larry,

Have you tested out the new Textreme Beast 750 yet, for those of interested and using the older Beast.

      Is the balance similar?

      thanks,
      Jon

  21. This is my current racket choice. It is just great! Power, control it has everything! although, when i was hitting it had a hollow feel but i like that. However, to my surprise the racket, it broke after 2 weeks. I did not bang it on the wall on purpose (i.e. in anger) just the occasional hit on the wall or floor from a drive or recovery. When it broke i ‘dissected’ it and it was actually hollow! even at the corners where ‘textreme’ is added. So its a great racket but not durable at all unfortunately….

    1. Thank you for you review notes. Good to know that the racket is fragile before forking out such big bucks for it (at least in Canada it is considerably more expensive that any other racket). Please note though that rackets are always hollow…..this is not weird.

  22. Please review it. There are no reviews anywhere on YouTube

    1. someone buy one for me and i’ll review it for you.

  23. Looks like the Pro Beast 750 he and James Willstrop have been using though with a few more holes added for more crosses and mains. Probably to tighten up the pattern for better control so they can drop the tension some to squeeze out more speed/power? Haven’t grabbed one yet still playing and experimenting with the Pro Beast 750! Enjoy the game!

  24. It’s on sale now at Pdh sports. It’s called the prince textreme pro warrior 600

    1. Thanks Alex – updated the post

  25. what is the racket called? is it on sale anywhere yet? i’d imagine Ramy’s racket will sell a lot!

personally a friend of mine scoured the internet to find adidas court stabil 10.1s when he heard Ramy wears only those!

  26. Ramy rackets name is a warrior..
    i watch a worldopen day2 pics

  27. It did not look like Ramy’s new racquet in his hand tonight at Worlds. Looked like a normal paint job.

  28. I just emailed Prince and heres what they said:

“That racquet is due to be released Jan 2016.”

    1. Thanks JR, will keep an eye out for that!

  29. Its can buy in shop in future? or its only for Ramy ?

    1. I am not sure! Hopefully it will be available to buy.

  30. The more I look at the pic, the headguard is also difference. I can’t quite tell whether it’s merely reduced in size or possilbly removeable ala Technifibre. Adds another nuance to the weight/balance equation.

  31. Interesting stringing pattern. looks like 16 cross by 16 mains. Which is like leaving off the last cross on a standard Air Stick/Drive/Sovereign. It’ll make a little more pop than the normal pattern.

    1. Good catch Brent, I added that to the post.

    2. Hmm I beg to differ… it looks mighty like a 16 mains x 17 cross stringing pattern to me… same as the airstick 130

      1. Now I recounted and got 17 this time! This image makes it clear I think.

        1. What is the stock string in it? Bought one like it have to see if it holds up. Thank you

        2. According to the Prince Website it comes with Prince 17-gauge black http://shop.princesquash.com/product.aspx?zpid=15471
