Racket Specs chart

Advertised weight (unstrung): 129 grams
Head size: 480 cm sq
String pattern: 16x17

Product Notes

This racket came out for sale in late 2015. It’s most likely a custom version of the Prince Airstick 130, which Ramy had been using previously.

Apparently Textreme is some sort of carbon fiber technology.

Updates:

  • Ramy since switched to the Prince Pro Sovereign 650
  • The Prince Pro Warrior 600 (non-Ramy signature) was spotted in 2017

Then Ramy was spotted using his new racket at the 2015 NetSuite Open in San Francisco. Thanks to Eamon for the tip!

I saw this Pro Warrior 600 for sale at Decathlon for £44.99 https://www.decathlon.co.uk/pro-warrior-600-id_8393268.html
Sounds too good to be true.
Is it the same one as the one being reviewed here? It doesn’t have Ramy Ashour’s name on it but seems to have the same specs.
    Could some adivce please?

Not sure Ramy is using this at the team worlds? it’s a white racket but has the Prince logo on the strings?

If it looks like any current racket, it will be the pro sovereign which is quite a change!! Clearly its a racket that isn’t out yet??

Seems like Ramy isn’t listing Prince as one of his sponsors anymore on his social media posts. He also dropped the Prince stencil on his strings.

I think some big brand (e.g tecnifibre etc.) should swoop in now and get Ramy onboard – Prince obviously don’t really care about squash anymore and they’ve lost all their big players (Serme, Willstrop, David and it now appears Ramy too).

Whatever racket Ramy uses will sell plenty.

It’s a bit weird around Ramy anyways. He is using the old Race (red) shoes instead of the new Salming Ramy branded one (blue) at the China open. Also he was still using the Prince 600 racket instead of the new Ramy branded 650. However, that warrior 650 was supposed to come out in August, but seems to have been delayed until October/November. Now I’m wondering if that racket will come out at all. I have a frame crack in my 600 due to somebody hitting my racket and was waiting for that 650 to come out. But it seems I have to start looking for an alternative. Which is frustrating, because that racket plays really smooth.

In my opininion, in comparison to the Airstick Lite, which i like very much to play with, the pro warrior is too headheavy (for me). Very difficult to control. But may be Ramy plays better than i 🙂 Smiley.

I have to correct my statement. I’ve now here the Warrior and the 550 lite, both the Textreme version. Balance of the warrior is a little more headlight than the 550 Pro Airstick lite; 35,3 cm/36 cm. Weight: Warrior 158 g strung/Airstick 156 g strung, both stock grip plus an overgrip = same weight.
Note: I also played the Airstick lte 550 2014 without the Textreme material. The newer one with Textreme is stiffer than the older one.

Thank you Pierre saw that also but looking that up Prince doesn’t have a string with that name so looked at all the ones that are black and narrowed it to the XX which there are two different ones in 17g and the Rebel…will have to pull out a magnifying glass tonight and see if I can make it out. Like the stick!
    Thank you

I see there are two different Lightning XX 17 g string one with the solid core the other multi. Anyone know which is stock in the Ramy 600 Warrior? Or is it Rebel? I have one just can’t seem to make out what it says on the string….Thank you

Hi JB, where are you seeing the two versions of Lightning XX 17g? I can only find this one on the Pricne website: http://shop.princesquash.com/Lightning-XX-17-Black.aspx

I should probably do a page on here for Prince strings. Thanks

On the bay some xx show with a solid core then wrapped other xx is a multi thoughout. Feels like it is strung at 25-26 lbs. Enjoying it so far but from the reviews out there people are saying they break easily. Called one place in NY to purchase another one and they said Prince pulled them because of breakage and they have not replaced them with new ones yet. Time will tell…Enjoy the game!

I can confirm the easy breakage of these rackets.

There are 2 players at my club who used to play with these. Together, they burned up 6 of them in one year. Breakages were mainly in the top of the frame, between 11 and 1 o’clock.

Hey, do you think there are any other good rackets (other than prince) that have similar grip width? I’ve tried the tecnifibre 125 but the grip was too large which I didn’t like. Thanks!

Some Karakal grips are similar…if you like the Prince grip stick with them the grip is half the battle in finding one you like…

Hey guys, my coach uses this racket, and I tried out this racket once and I liked the size (width) of the handle/grip a lot. My question is that are all Prince handles the same size or do they differ? Thanks!
