Product Notes

This is NOT the Prince Pro Warrior 650, Prince’s “standard” Pro Warrior in 2017. This is listed on the Decathlon website as a 2017 model but I haven’t seen it for sale anywhere else so far, so I think it is an exclusive to Decathlon.

There’s a prior racket called the Prince Textreme Pro Warrior 600, which was the Ramy Ashour signature model that came out in 2015 (though Ramy’s since switched to the Prince Pro Sovereign 650).

The 2017 Decathlon model has a different color scheme, and doesn’t have the RAMY signature on the top of the frame either. The specs look otherwise very similar (1 gram difference in the advertised weight).

Prince Pro Warrior 600

A Squash Source reader named Aly got in touch with Decathlon to ask if this was the same racket as the Ramy model, but Decathlon we not able to answer for sure.

On the Decathlon site, they mention “Triple Threat” technology.

The Prince TRIPLE THREAT technology, positioned at 2 and 10 o’clock, provides greater stability when hitting the ball.

Prince used the Triple Threat in earlier versions of their rackets. So my best guess is this racket is the same as the Ramy model, just reinforced with Triple Threat instead of Textreme. I don’t know how big of a difference that really makes.

Thanks to Aly and Leon for the tips.

I’ve took the gamble and bought two of these rackets from Decathlon (at £45 each I thought why not!). I’ve been using the Dunlop Biomimetic Ultimate for a couple of years so was a bit apprehensive to change but I’ve found them to play really well.
They don’t come with a racket cover which is possibly part of the reason for cheaper cost, they did have the Ramy Ashour feature picture on the cardboard string cover that was fitted to both.

The black pro warrior Prince racket sells in India, for under USD 100.

Feedback is poor because 12 or the 15 rackets sold by a dealer I know broke in less than a month of purchase. A very brittle racket.

It should be listed on Amazon. in and Flipkart. in

      Do you mean this one?

Interesting, it’s labeled as the “Prince Pro Warrior X”:

I saw that once before in this comment.

Prince is all over the place right now! I will add a separate post for that one.
