The Asics Gel Tactic has been around for years and is a personal favorite of mine. Asics updated the design in 2021. Big thanks to John for sending me some photos of the 2021 model, including some side-by-side comparisons with the 2019 model. Here’s the back view of the 2021 models: Here they are on […]
There are now a couple versions of the Carboflex 125 Heritage from Tecnifibre. Tecnifibre Carboflex 125 Heritage 2 An updated model is just coming out in 2021 (thanks Derek for the tip). I’m pretty sure there have been no changes to the racket, other than the cosmetics. It’s got the “Heritage” branding on the top […]
I’ll be doing reviews of the Stellar Assault, Stellar “The Boss”, and Stellar Redback Shoes over the next couple weeks. Here’s a teaser:
The Asics Gel Blade 8 is landing! Thanks to John for the tip. The Asics Gel Blade 8 appears to have have undergone a significant redesign from the Asics Gel Blade 7. Here’s a side-by-side image comparison: The Blade 8 is in black on the right. You can see they have simplified the design — […]
Creating a page for the Hit Drive 130. This is from Hit Rackets, a Spanish brand. Looks like it is based off the original Carboflex mold. Spain’s Cristina Gomez was using the Hit Drive 130 at the 2021 World Championships: Here’s a review from BetterSquash: You can see in the video this actually has a […]
Spain’s Cristina Gomez was spotted at the 2021 World Championships using one of the Hit Squash Rackets. Her model is called the Hit Drive 130.
Here’s Swiss player Dimitri Steinmann at the 2021 World Championships. Pretty cool-looking gray racket there. On closer inspection, this is a Harrow Vibe.
Scotland player / SquashTV announcer Lisa Aitken was spotted at the World Championships with the Tecnifibre Carboflex Airshaft 125 NS. Prior to this she was using Eye Rackets. I love that the Airshaft 125 NS is popping up in a lot of players’ hands. The 125 NS has a smaller grip than the 125 — […]
Spotted Mexico’s Alfredo Avila using the Gearbox GBX 125 at the World Championships. It’s been a while since I saw a Gearbox racket in the wild. Danielle Letourneau used to be their marquee sponsored player, but she has since moved on to another brand. I reviewed those Gearbox rackets back in 2019.
This is called the Head Sprint Pro 3.0 Indoor. Looks like I’ve posted the Head Sprint Pro Indoor before, but I seem to have missed the Head Sprint Pro 2.0 Indoor. Anyway I’m posting this shoe because France’s Sébastien Bonmalais was wearing these at the 2021 World Champs:
