Nick Matthew was spotted with an updated cosmetic for the Evolution Pro (thanks Lloyd). My guess is this will be named the Dunlop Hyperfibre XT Evolution Pro, in keeping with the other Hyperfibre XT rackets. When it comes out, it will replace the Dunlop Hyperfibre+ Evolution Pro.
Tecnifibre has a new string for 2020 called Tecnifibre Dynamix VP. I am not sure if this is a replacement for their DNAMX string, or another option in their product lineup. I think probably the latter. Honestly, DNAMX was a lousy product name — easy to spell wrong and unclear how to pronounce — and […]
Spotted this Tecnifibre Cross Shot at PDH Sports. It’s a low-cost racket from Tecnifibre. Usually their “Storm” model is the lowest cost option but typically that is more of a mid-range price.
These Yonex Power Cushion 65 X2 are almost sold out at Holabird but I’m posting them because they are size 4E (Extra Wide) and I know squash players with wide feet are desperate for ideas sometimes. Adding these to the wide squash shoes page. Here’s a women’s version of the Yonex Power Cushion 65 X2 […]
These shoes are called New Balance 696v4, which is a bit of a weird name but maybe in keeping with how New Balance does things. I’ve never posted New Balance squash shoes before but I’ve heard some people swear by them even though they are usually positioned as tennis shoes. This particular model has gum-rubber […]
This is a rundown of the Salming Forza Pro squash rackets over the years. 2019 Here’s a peek at the racket from squash.com.au: 2018 Alison Waters: 2017 Max Lee was spotted playing with this at the 2017 HK Open. Thanks to Lloyd for the tip!
The Adidas Court Team Bounce. I just spotted this in 2020. Looks like a middle-of-the-road non-marking (volleyball) shoe from Adidas. Men Black Women Black The women’s black looks the exact same as the men’s above.
Included in this reddit post about a cracked racket frame was a comment from m-shafik: I had a similar crack on my Dunlop Hyperfibre Pro (I hit my opponent’s racket during the follow-through) and my coach used some sort of fiber heat welding (similar to fixing cuts/cracks in fiber car bumpers) and it returned like […]
Reposting an article I just submitted to Squash Magazine. For this issue I decided to look at some of the most popular squash shoes of 2019 using Google Analytics data culled from Squash Source. These are the most-clicked products on my website over the course of the year, for all readers globally. The data doesn’t […]
