This is called the Dunlop Blackstorm Titanium SLS. The SLS stands for “Super Light Spec”. I first spotted this racket in 2022 but it’s probably part of Dunlop’s 2021-2022 range. It appears to be the same mold as the Dunlop Blackstorm Titanium 5.0, except 125 grams (10 grams lighter).
I recently restrung my Head 120 Slimbody into a fan pattern, using Head’s Adaptive Fan Pattern option. For anyone that wants to nerd out a little bit on stringing, I put together this video of how it went. Here’s a transcript if it helps. This one’s difficult to understand without actually watching the video. If […]
I wanted to jot down a couple face mask options for squash players. I’ve been meaning to write this for a while but since the pandemic is dragging on and we have different COVID variants popping up all the time, better late than never. The first face mask option I tried on the squash court […]
Check out this baby from a company called Blade based in Hong Kong. They have a series of rackets called the Nation Series and this is the Great Britain model. I love the design. I managed to get my hands on this racket briefly and put together the video walkthrough below: Here’s an auto-generated transcript […]
On this page, I’m going to report everything I know so far about squash activity trackers. I’m going to take a wide-ranging approach to “squash tech” covering both squash-specific options and more generic (i.e. not squash-specific) fitness tracking devices. As far as the generic options go, there are SO many different ways to track exercise […]
This is a quick post for the 305Squash Backpack XL, which you can get at 305’s website: I recently got a chance to take a look at this backpack and do a quick walkthrough video of it. It’s roomier than your standard squash backpack and has a nice design. Here’s an auto-generated transcript of the […]
Don’t think I’ve heard of Lotto before, in the court shoe space anyway, but just spotted these Lotto Jumper 400 II and they actually look kind of nice:
The Dunlop Tempo Pro TD: The Dunlop Tempo Pro TD appears to be a new model from Dunlop in 2021. Basically they’ve added a teardrop shape to the mid-price Tempo range. I guess the TD stands for teardrop. That weight of 165 grams is an eye-opener. This looks like the much-imitated “standard teardrop” mold that […]
Rounding out the bottom of Dunlop’s range is the Dunlop Tempo Elite 5.0: This replaces the Dunlop Tempo Elite 4.0 in Dunlop’s lineup.
