Reviews
Here’s my review! This racket has lots of control and felt very precision-oriented.
Note: I called this the “Cannone” a couple times in the video but it’s actually the Cannone Pro; the Cannone is a different racket (see below). Also, it came out in 2016 and there is no prior version.

I played with the original 2016 Cannone aero pro and I LOVED IT. I went and ordered three of the newer ones (which I believe is the 2017 model, orange color scheme) However, I found out its actually heavier than the original 2016 model. I wonder if it will make much difference? I thought they were the same, just new colors.
Andrew Allport says
()
Does anyone know where i can get a used or new Salming Fusione 2016 ,the original 2016 one?would love to try this racket particularly after Pierre’s review on it,seems they are very rare or all have been broken!
Tom says
()
Has anyone tried the new Cannone Feather or PowerRay? How do they play/feel?
Daniel Smith says
()
Would also really like some feedback on the PowerRay if anyone’s tried it?
Andrew says
()
Was interested in the Power Ray,but feels too light, and therefore for me as an average club player I feel it will be under powered.
I imagine great for volleys though.
I’ve come full circle on racket frame weights,I used to play with the lightest I could find, now my rackets,Fusione pro,Head graphene 135 and cyano 135 all weigh 155g,158g and 160g all in.
Just my amateur thoughts.

Paid laughable 72 dollars for the fusione pro today. Can’t find reviews about this racket many places except for Pierre video reviewing the older model. Anyone got an opinion? Testing it out on sunday. Resembles the eye x-lite 120 which I had before, but the Salming is head heavy compared.
Andrew says
()
I have the Fusione pro aero Vectran strung with bi phase technifibre at 24 lbs,am loving it!
Easy power and great control, weighs 155g all in,I find it even balance or just head heavy, ball explodes off the string bed,I find I have to curb my enthusiasm for crunching the ball to length and focus on an all round game and use this rackets accuracy..My serves are particularly more accurate I’ve noticed,am a b grade/intermediate squash club player, age 49 ,play twice a week.
Lloyd says
()
Max lee looks to be using the forza pro as of hong kong round 1.

Pierre looking for your wealth of knowledge and get to the facts attack. I have a Salming Cannone Pro 2016 enjoy it and use it when playing on the glass court, a bit to much power using the black ball. I am looking for another one as a back up but looking at all the specs for the new ones nothing matches up. The 124 unstrung and slight ever so slight head heavy compared to my 2016 Eye V.Lite 120 Control. I am finding the Salming comes in at 140 strung with Ashaway ZX Micro. The Eye comes in at 140 strung with Ashaway ZX Micro and even balance. So what new Salming matches up the best? Thank you enjoy the game!
Pierre says
()
Hi JB, sadly I haven’t tried any of the newer Salming models! I’m hoping the 2017 Cannone Pro stuck to the same specs, because that was a great racket. I will update the page with the advertised specs so we at least have that handy for reference
Lawrence says
()
Hi Guys
I have the new Cannone Pro (red/black) and it does not feel the same as the old model (green/black). Personally I liked the feel, weight and balance of the old model better. The new one feels heavier. I also tried the new Cannone Pro Feather (red/white), and it was too light for me…. LOL…. so in summary, the old model weight/balance is in between the new Feather and the new Cannone Pro.
JB, if you like the old model I would recommend getting another one of the same.
David says
()
Hey Lawrence,
This is what I wanted to hear. I am playing with my friends older model (green/black/white). I liked it so much I ordered the newer model (orange/red/black) but I found out they are not the same weight… I am pretty bummed! How much heavier is it really? It is still ‘head light’ from what I understand?
D says
()
Wish it wasn’t so, but:

Thanks Pierre for posting my pic on the Fusione Feather. Switched from the Carboflex 125S to the Salmings because I wanted something more head light, and I’m really happy with my choice. Love the way the racquet plays.
I do find the factory string tension at 24lbs a bit low, causing more trampoline effect than I am used to. Will restring them soon.
Pierre says
()
I just noticed the old Fusione had the same spelling mistake 🙂
Andrew says
()
Would love to buy an original 2016 orange Fusione, does anyone know where to get one?used or new?
Nathan says
()
I’ve actually had the lucky opportunity to try the Forza pro, because my coach is sponsored, and it is a beautiful racket. It has great power and good feel. The first ever drop I hit with it was a crosscourt rolling nick.
Reinier says
()
Bought a Salming Fusione Aero Vectran -> Great racket with a lot of power and good touch until it starts developing cracks. My racket started developing small hairline cracks on the inside area of the closed throat. Definitely not due to impact. Really gutted, as I enjoy the racket. Trying to get some response or help in this regard from Salming directly or the local dealer was totally pointless. You will not get any feedback or Customer interaction from Salming at all! The local dealer does not provide feedback either and just tries to ignore you in hoping you will go away eventually. My advice is to not buy a Salming racket, rather make use of the other reputable brands that actually support their own products.
Isak says
()
I’ve emailed Salming support with questions about their rackets and got a reply within the next day, try again!
Reinier says
()
Tried and tried again …..after a few emails to various different mail addresses I could find I got a response and Salming has decided to replace the racket. SO I cannot fault them standing by their product…………it did take a few attempts though! 🙂

I bought an Aero Vectran Forza and after two weeks of play here are my thoughts…
The good… Light, but not feather light; feels well balanced in your hand, and I was able to hit fairly well with it from day one. Just a comfortable racquet to play with. Quick and easy to maneuver. Some power and control, but you need to be hitting the sweet spot consistently.
The bad… Small sweet spot, and the string type it came with is not to my liking at all (feels hard, and was not helped by manufacturer string tension). Also, the racquet has an unusual string pattern — fairly tight second to ninth row, then it opens up really wide in the lower middle to bottom area (it’s got a fairly immediate drastic jump from tight to wide). The string pattern is the only element of the design I question; along with the manufacturer strings that is, which I would replace with something a little softer, and at a lower tension (which might help off-center shots and add power).
My opinion is that this racquet is for the higher level player. I felt that you needed to keep the ball in the middle of the third to ninth row (the top third of the racquet face) or the ball would not do what you wanted. It is not a forgiving racquet. But when the ball was hit in this area of the face, the control was excellent, and the power was there.
This won’t be a keeper for me, but in the hands of someone who is able to consistently hit the slightly small sweet spot, and likes a light racquet that just feels good in your hand, it most certainly could be.
Squash play history… Over thirty years playing the game, and currently a local 5.0 level player. Experience playing with Harrow, Dunlop, Wilson, Prince, Technifibre, and Head racquets.
