Tecnifibre Carboflex 125 Heritage

There are now a couple versions of the Carboflex 125 Heritage from Tecnifibre.

Tecnifibre Carboflex 125 Heritage 2

An updated model is just coming out in 2021 (thanks Derek for the tip). I’m pretty sure there have been no changes to the racket, other than the cosmetics.

It’s got the “Heritage” branding on the top inside of the frame:

One annoying this about this new Heritage paint job is it looks way too similar to the Carboflex Cannonball. Here they are side by side:

Original Tecnifibre Carboflex 125 Heritage

The original Heritage model first came out around 2018. It was a follow-up to the legendary black-and-yellow Tecnifibre Carboflex 125, which had come out in 2012 and become hugely popular. Tecnifibre kept tweaking the design of their premium Carboflexes (i.e. the 125 S / 125 X-Speed / Airshaft 125). Those were the models generally being used in tournament play by Tecnifibre sponsored players, and they were Tecnifibre’s highest-priced models. But Tecnifibre found a way to keep the original Carboflex mold around by rebranding it as the Heritage and offering it at a bit lower price point.

On this older model, the Heritage branding was on the throat:

How does this racket compare to the Carboflex 125 Airshaft ? Same weight, same number of strings, same balance. Is it just the air shaft bit (Airshaft frame geometry ) that’s the difference?

It’s essentially an X-Speed with a new cosmetic, so it is slightly different to the original Heritage. I own half a dozen of the original Heritage and bought two of the Heritage 2, I ended up sticking with the original, although there is nothing wrong with the newer racket.

I think it’s a cool touch that they’re so similar since Rodriguez played with the Heritage for such a long time, and even after two updated paintjobs on the 125s & X-speed. Jupp. Tecnifibre must have had this in mind.

Is Heritage2 similar to heritage or cannonball?? Heritage balance is 350mm but, cannonball and heritage2 has 355mm balance.

As I understand, Heritage 2 is supposed to match the original Heritage. And the Cannonball is supposed to be head-heavier. However I see what you are talking about, the Heritage 2 is listed as 355. So bottom line is I’m not sure at this point
