Chris wow great suggestion I have been looking at the Dunlop Ultimate Precision very close. I think the Elite has larger spacing giving a bit more power less control in theory. Have you used the Ultimate? I actually went to a Dunlop Tour CX pulling the grommets and using Eye individual grommets giving it a head light and 144 total weight all in with X-One. And yes another old discontinued racquet so the Precision Elite and Ultimate could be the answer.

Rod you won’t believe it I went with a Karakal not Pilley’s but the 130 ff it is on it’s way ordered it a week ago. I will also look into the ion.
    Thank you Enjoy the game!

Ha! I have the 130FF as my backup racket…great minds!

It’s a good racket that I enjoy pulling out every now and again, but I think the BK is better in every respect (more powerful, better feel, thinner beam profile).

Rod which PSX? There is a Selby model at 140 g frame weight swing weight 135 or the regular one at 135 and swing 130….and do you stay with stock string? I have been using 305 in all my racquets lately to help slow the ball and be able to control it more. My biggest problem is my touch game so was leaning towards a slight head heavy stick to get me to improve racquet prep and follow through. I am an all power player and the better players I play the power thing doesn’t always work so going away from the Tecnifibre 125s type racquets back to the NG a true and valued stick I have held onto and find when I go back to it I slow down and place the ball more and able to more my opponent around the court more which usually works in my favor. Was thinking the 120 ff was just a bit to head heavy though so went the 130 route.

I play with the black, non Selby, version. The stock string plays really nice (lots of power and cut) but would only last me about 3 matches before breaking. From there I switch to the Ultranick 18 which is the best combination of playability and durability that I’ve found. The balance point is very similar to the 130FF that you’ve ordered.

PDH Sports has the 2011 Version – I agree with you that the new version just doesn’t feel as good, I still have 3 2012s and am dreading the day they break

Thank you LK for the information I did find that and might have to bite the bullet on the shipping, over $50. The price on the racquet isn’t bad just the shipping….

Or an alternate. Tried the Head Xenon XT 120 and 135 Slimbody but feel flimsy? Just doesn’t have the same solid touch. Tried some Eye racquets that had a lot of vibration but closer then they discontinued the pro model with the smaller head.

If I were you I would check out Karakal’s Pilley racket and I personally recommend the BK Ion Element PSX to everyone within earshot. It has the power, control, feel and durability that everyone should appreciate.

Probably too late for you, but if you like the old NG, than there is a good chance you might like the Dunlop Precision Elite (Gaultier’s racket) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJLmEBJkA0E, have you tried it? They just released a new version, the hyperfiber Elite, which I haven’t tried yet, but the pervious model is in my opinion what the NG was and better.
